The membrane surrounding the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Theendoplasmic reticulum is an extensive network of membrane tubules,vesicles and flattened cisternae (sac-like structures) foundthroughout the eukaryotic cell, especially those responsible for theproduction of hormones and other secretory products
