Peribacteroid membrane
Symbiosis leads to the formation of a new compartment in the plantcell when bacteria enter the plant cell by endocytosis, thesymbiosome. This compartment harbours the bacteroids surrounded by aperibacteroid membrane (PMB) originating from the plant plasmamembrane. The space between this membrane and the bacteroid membraneis called the peribacteroid space
